Project Overview
Vault is a fraud prevention platform designed to help merchants manage transaction decisioning, fraud rules, thresholds, and related account workflows. The admin experience brings these tools together in a structured interface, supporting transaction review, rule management, and data-driven fraud prevention workflows.
Research & Discovery
I reviewed the existing Vault product structure, workflows, and interface requirements to understand how key fraud prevention tools were organized. I focused on transaction management, rules and thresholds, decisioning workflows, and the relationships between different areas of the admin platform before moving into the UI design.
Ideation
I explored different interface directions based on Vault’s existing fraud prevention workflows and product requirements. The focus was on organizing complex information clearly and creating consistent patterns across transaction management, decisioning, business policies, and analytics. I refined the interface direction before moving into the final UI design.

Transaction Decisioning Flow
I mapped the core transaction decisioning flow to understand how a transaction moves through Vault’s fraud prevention system. The flow connects the incoming transaction with risk analysis, VaultScore, business policies, and the final decision to approve, decline, or review the transaction.

Wireframing
I developed low-fidelity wireframes for key areas of the Vault admin platform to define page structure, information hierarchy, navigation, and core interactions before moving into the final UI. The wireframes covered areas such as the dashboard, accounts, users, orders, and threshold management.
Visual Design
The visual direction builds on Vault’s existing brand language, using purple, teal, white, and dark neutral tones to create a clear and structured admin interface. I focused on consistent navigation, typography, spacing, form elements, tables, and reusable UI patterns across the platform. The goal was to keep complex fraud prevention workflows organized while maintaining a consistent visual system.

Prototyping & Testing
I created interactive prototypes for key Vault workflows to explore navigation, screen transitions, and core interactions before development. The prototypes helped communicate the intended behavior of the redesigned interface and supported discussions with stakeholders and developers.
Iterations & Refinements
I refined the interface based on product requirements, stakeholder feedback, and discussions with the development team. Iterations focused on improving information hierarchy, navigation, form layouts, tables, and interaction patterns across the Vault admin platform.
Final Design
The final design brings together the core Vault admin workflows in a clearer and more consistent interface. The redesign focuses on improving information hierarchy, navigation, and visibility across dashboards, accounts, users, orders, and fraud management tools.
I used consistent typography, color, spacing, forms, tables, and reusable UI patterns to create a more structured experience for managing complex fraud prevention workflows.

Impact
The redesign created a more consistent and structured admin experience across key Vault workflows. Clearer navigation, stronger information hierarchy, and reusable interface patterns helped organize complex areas such as transaction management, account management, and fraud prevention rules.
Lessons Learned
This project strengthened my experience designing complex B2B platforms with interconnected workflows.
I learned the importance of creating clear information hierarchy when working with large amounts of operational data and complex rules.
I also learned how consistency in navigation, forms, tables, and interaction patterns can make a complex admin platform easier to understand and manage.
Working closely with stakeholders and developers also reinforced the importance of considering technical requirements while shaping the user experience.
Next Steps
The next step would be to continue refining the key Vault workflows based on stakeholder and user feedback. I would also focus on improving consistency across responsive experiences and validating the most important transaction, account, and fraud management flows through further testing.
