Project Overview
During my time at XPress Processing, I worked as the UI/UX Designer on the XPressPay wallet experience. I designed the admin web platform and worked closely with the CTO, CEO, and development team to refine key workflows, navigation, and interfaces.

Problem Statement
The XPress Wallet admin experience included multiple workflows for managing accounts, transactions, and wallet operations. The goal was to create a clearer and more consistent interface that made these workflows easier to navigate and manage.

Research & Discovery
I reviewed the product requirements, platform concept, and key workflows to understand the wallet experience. I also worked with stakeholders and the development team to clarify requirements and define the structure of key screens before moving into detailed UI design.
Key Findings
The wallet included multiple workflows, including onboarding, payments, and money movement.
The experience needed to support both web and mobile users.
Account verification and compliance were important parts of the onboarding process.
Different funding and withdrawal methods needed to be clearly organized.
Onboarding — Wallet
The onboarding flow covers account signup, account type selection, verification, compliance, and account activation before users can add bank accounts and start transacting.
Funding Flow
The funding flow covers XPress-in and XPress-out, with different options for loading and withdrawing funds through bank accounts, cards, Interac, and vouchers.
Design Exploration
I explored different interface directions based on the product requirements and existing workflows. I focused on organizing information clearly, simplifying navigation, and creating consistent UI patterns across the wallet experience. I reviewed the designs with stakeholders and the development team and refined the direction before moving into detailed UI design.
Wallet User Flows
I mapped the key wallet workflows to understand how users move through onboarding, account activation, and moving money in and out of the wallet. The flows helped define the structure and key steps before moving into detailed UI design.
• Onboarding - signup, account type selection, verification, compliance, and account activation
• Funding - XPress-in (load) and XPress-out (withdraw), including the available payment methods
• Account setup - linking and validating bank accounts and cards
Wireframing
I created wireframes for key wallet screens to define the layout, information hierarchy, and interactions before moving into the final UI design. I used the existing workflows and product requirements as a starting point and refined the screens based on feedback from stakeholders and the development team.
Visual Design
I designed the interface around the existing XPress Wallet visual language, using a clear hierarchy, consistent components, and a strong color system across the admin experience. The design uses purple as the primary brand color with supporting teal and accent colors to distinguish actions and important information.
Prototyping
I created high-fidelity prototypes in Figma to explore key wallet workflows and interactions before development. The prototypes helped communicate the intended user flows and interface behavior and supported discussions with stakeholders and the development team.
Design Refinements
I refined the interface based on product requirements, stakeholder feedback, and discussions with the development team. The refinements focused on improving information hierarchy, simplifying interactions, and maintaining consistency across the admin experience.
Final Design
The final design brings together the key XPress Wallet admin workflows in a clear and consistent interface. The design focuses on structured navigation, clear information hierarchy, reusable UI patterns, and efficient management of accounts, users, transactions, and system settings.
This project strengthened my experience designing complex wallet and admin workflows.
